While it is possible to play fun and competitive ultimate without any strategy whatsoever, it has as much or more depth as any other major sport. To achieve at a high level you must work together in harmony with your teammates.

Offensive strategy

The offense's main strategy should be designed to maximize the likelihood of scoring a point. It may capitalize on particular strengths of the players on the field or focus on consistent teamwork and solid play all-around. The standard offensive arrangements are designed with two or three handlers behind the disc and the remaining players downfield as cutters.
